So with Manny being out for possibly 50 games... does this mean Pierre gets the starts... i hear they called up a young kid, but you'd expect pierre would get the majority of the starts right?

At the very least I think he'd see a considerable increase in playing time.

cbs says they are calling someone up, but Pierre is supposed to get most of the starts! I grabbed him for my Sb problem...if he can help in runs and SBs for two months w/o torpedoing my OBP, its a steal !!!!

i totally agree, no way they start an unproven rookie over an established vet like pierre... runs and sb's for sure! i picked him up right away... and a goo chance once manny comes back that they'll be forced to trade pierre if he's doing well... ;-D .... yet i do feel like a vulture haha

i'd imagine they would call up someone since manny can't occupy the bench while suspended. i'd see the lion's share of the ABs going to Pierre.

Hmmm, I just picked up Bourn from the WW for SBs before the Manny news broke...

I wonder if Pierre would be a better bet. :-?

I'd stick with Bourn for the time being... better job security. figure pierre will be back to the bench in 50 days.

I'd go with Pierre over Bourn. Pierre has a proven track record, while Bourn is hitting better than previous seasons right now. I feel if Bourn keeps playing at this level (may or may not), he'll have about the same value as Pierre.

i'd say it's almost a wash with either, the good thing about this is that the dodgers have a great opportunity once manny is back cuz they can use pierre as much more of a bargaining chip for a trade half way through the year for a pitcher so pierre could def be traded, once manny comes back, to a team and keep his starting job... just a thought
