Crazy Team Stories (Good or Bad)

Postby markball51 » Thu May 07, 2009 11:44 am

Kinda new here, so not sure if there is already a thread for this. Here's what happened with my team last night. I'd enjoy reading crazy stuff like this so go ahead and post....

Have Rich Harden, Lance Berkman, and Kevin Gregg on my team.

Bottom of the 8th, Cubs up 6-1. One on for Berkman and he jacksssss one out. So yes I have to suck up the small hit to my ERA and WHIP, but I get the numbers for Berk, and now it's a 3 run game, so Gregg comes in for the easy Save (of Harden's Win).

Woooooo I love fantasy baseball.

Love it when that sort of thing happens!

Had a good one for me today: Matt Cain with 6 shutout innings, a bunch of Ks and a 7-run lead.

As soon as he's out of the game, Brad Hawpe hits one out of the park! ;-D

My one active bench player had twice as many hits as my entire line up tonight. And before tonight, my team was batting .360 on the week.

C: Sandoval - 0/5
1B: A. Gonzalez - 1/5
2B: Utley - 0/4
3B: M. Cabrera - 0/4
SS: S. Drew - DNP
OF: Ludwick - 0/3
OF: Cruz - 0/4
OF: Abreu - 0/4, SB
UTIL: D. Ortiz - DNP stiff neck

Total: 1/29 for a 0.034 avg, but productive w/ 2R, 2RBI and a SB.

Bench: C. Davis - 2/4 w/ a HR
and then AROD, Manny Ramirez and Wieters also on the bench, but DNP.

And of course, I had the exact opposite night in my other league:

My stat line: 13/33, 10 R, 4 HR, 10 RBI, SB, 0.394 avg and a 1.310 OPS
Opp stat line: 11/33, 5 R, 4 HR, 12 RBI, 0 SB, 0.333 avg and a 1.207 OPS

I hate when a good night is equaled by an opponent.
