Question about pinch hitting.

Assume this scenario: 0-0 game in the bottom of the 7th (inning doesn't really matter though). The pitcher spot comes up and the starting pitcher gets pinch hit for. Pinch hitter strikes out. Next hitter hits a HR. The team ends up holding on and winning the game 1-0. Who gets the win? I assume the starting pitcher but isn't he technically officially out of the game by then and the pinch hitter is the "pitcher" since he is hitting in the pitchers' spot?

The last guy who pitches before the lead is permanently established gets the win, doesn't matter if he's in the game at the time.

They can award the win two either of two people - the SP or the RP who pitches after the team takes the lead.

Just think of it this way - Would it make sense to award the RP the win when he hasn't even thrown one pitch when they took the lead?

Pitcher pitched in the top of the inning and completed the inning, team takes lead in bottom of inning. Win goes to starting pitcher.
