I checked the WW today and found 3 gems. I have the #2 waiver so I'll definitely be able to pick up at least one of these guys. First off, here is my team. Please take notes of my strengths and weaknesses.
C Mike Napoli 1B Joey Votto 2B Brian Roberts 3B Evan Longoria SS Orlando Cabrera OF Ryan Braun OF Ryan Ludwick OF Matt Holliday UTL Shin-Soo Choo Util Nate McLouth BN Jim Thome BN Emilio Bonifacio DL Stephen Drew
SP Rich Harden SP Francisco Liriano SP Derek Lowe SP John Danks SP Scott Baker SP Joe Saunders RP Bobby Jenks RP Trevor Hoffman BN Troy Percival DL Justin Duchscherer DL Brandon Morrow
Now, on the WW I found Troy Tulowitzki, Dan Uggla, and Max Scherzer. This leaves me with some delmas. Worst case scinario is I can pick two of these guys and for sure walk away with one since I have the #2 WW. What do I need most?
My SS is weak with Cabreera but Drew will come back, is this something I should depend on? .... Tulo would be a nice insurance policy...
Uggla and his 30 HR potential (and runs, I'm weak in runs) is a nice addition but with Roberts at 2b he would have to be a utility. That being said I have Thome at Utility who will put up VERY similar numbers. Thoughts?
What do you think of my starting pitching? How safe of a bet is Scherzer and what type of numbers would you guess he will put up?
This is HUGE I make the right choice here. Remember, I have the #2 waiver (minor leaguers don't go through waivers). Where do you feel my team is weak and who do you think would help me most?
Please rate them in the WW priority I should put them in!

I am terrible in Runs and SB, where would I play him? I wouldn't play him in leu of Roberts who is a runs and SB machine which leaves Uggla for the UTL spot. This spot I have Thome who puts up basically identical numbers to Uggla.....

I'd go Uggla first, then Tulo, then Scherzer.
You might be able to move Roberts for a better SP and start Uggla there.
Read above. I can't get rid of my 2nd best run producer and top SB threat to put yet another HR and RBI hitter.....
I'm not here to argue with you guys, I appreciate the feedback. The problem is I don't think you guys read the post to realize Runs, SB, ERA, and WHIP are my weaknesses.
Your team needs a SS more than a 2B, but Uggla has the value of the three players. I'd probably go ahead and lay a claim on Uggla and drop Bonafacio. Worse comes to worse, try and trade B-Roberts for an elite player once Uggla starts hitting again. I'd probably drop O-cab over Bonafacio, but then you wouldn't have a SS to play while Drew is out.
Needs: Tulo
Best value: Uggla
It's up to you. I'd probably pick up Uggla though. Drew should be back shortly. If you hear news of Drew coming back Next week and it's a weekly league, I might even drop Ocab and Bonafacio and hope to land both Tulo and Uggla.

Won't Uggla put up Thome like numbers? I struggle in Runs and SB so trading/benching Roberts is a long shot, even if Uggla is producing. My league absolutely hates to trade so if Uggla catches fire I probably won't be able to get anything in return for him....
I guess it comes down to whether I want an insurance policy in Thome or Drew. Would a Thome/Uggla platton at UTL be better or a Drew/Tulo platton at SS be better? Who would you take an insurance policy on, Thome or Drew?
