I'm sitting pretty in 2nd place right now. My team is doing pretty well for the most part but I have been hit lately with injuries. Posada just got put on the DL for me and I dropped BJ Ryan to make room for a new catcher (4th closer, with some on FA). I'm in an 8 team 5x5 league and someone dropped Ervin Santana, even though he comes back next week. Also, Nelson Cruz is coming to life. Should I use a waiver on Santana? If so, who do I drop? And is Cruz an upgrade over any of my other guys? Thanks.

I don't think Cruz is really an upgrade other than Huff. I would trade Scherzer for Santana if you really want him. But really you best option may be to stand pat!
I would stay with what you have. I like Cruz, I am on the fence about Santana. However all of your players are too good to dropped so you really have no options. The only player who I would even think about dropping would be Werth, its really your call but if you think Cruz will live up to the hype go for it, and also you could use Santana since some of your starters are a little shaky.
Bump...who thinks Santana would be an upgrade? And who should I drop to make that happen? Now that Upton is playing better, I can drop Werth perhaps???
I'm not a Jason Werth fan, so I think Cruz would be an upgrade over him.
Also think Santana is a better option then Volquez or Scherzer. You could also consider dropping Downs. Ryan will be back sooner rather then later. The Jays aren't paying him big bucks to be a set up man or to ride pine.
In response to jmcambe11, I agree that Cruz is an upgrade from Werth, however dropping Volquez or Scherzer in favor or Santana? I was never a big Santana fan, last year was his only good season...in 2007 his ERA was 5.76 and he gave up 174 hits in 150 innings which is bad news (he also gives up a lot of homers ) Volquez had a great season last year and is pitching very well again, I would be hesistant to drop him, however I might possibly drop Scherzer.
