If you have 1st pick, you have to take A-Rod while he still qualify at SS. Next year if he only qualifies at third his stock will drop.

Guys relax, His numbers should remain the same. But having him at SS is better then having him a 3B.

Yes, this gives you quite a bit of flexibility in your draft. You can wait until the later rounds to draft either a good value SS or 3rd basemen.

Is everyone sure A-Rod is the #1 choice? Albert Pujols isn't joining a new team, having someone else move positions for him and isn't on a team full of superstars.

Yeah I see your point, but Albert plays OF and 1st the deepest positions in the fantasy game.

Agreed and if you passed on him, you probably wouldn't be able to get Nomar or Tejada at SS on the way back. You would be able to get a 3B later but the dropoff is huge.
