Buying Tickets on Craig's List

Postby jzfran » Wed May 06, 2009 12:20 pm

Hey,

I'm kinda new to the whole Craig's List thing and I'm about to get tickets to a Bruce Springsteen concert. I'm worried I'm getting scammed though. I know what the tickets at this venue look like very well, and I am meeting in person to get the tickets and inspect them before I pay to the seller, a fellow student. Should I be worried?

Any good/bad Craig's List ticket experiences for you all?

Thanks

Well make sure you meet him in person, maybe find out where he/she works. Take down their tag number if possible, or even find out exactly where they live. If the person seems shady dont buy. I never have gotten tickets off of craigslist. But have got a lot of other things and I did walk away from purchase because something didn't seem right...... But my advice is, get as much information on the person as possible that way you can track them down and hurt them

Tag Number is key.

Never had anyone screw me over.

Conducting the transaction through paypal can add a layer of safety as well.

I buy tickets all the time on Craigslist. I usually wait until 3-4 hours before the game to try to find the desperate sellers. Some can email the tickets to you. Others I meet to pick them up in a public place. I haven't had a problem picking up tickets.

Thanks for the help. They're legit paper tickets on the facility's tickets and the pair is still attached to each other. Got good lower level near the stage at $50 each. Seeing The Boss TONIGHT!
