Year after year a manager in my league sends me offers for Jose Reyes. Every offer I've declined without really a counter as I've always valued plugging Reyes into my SS slot every week with the thoughts that he'd basically win me SB's, give me a tonne of runs and overall much more production than any other teams SS aside from Hanley.
However recently I've been starting to look at Reyes as a bit over rated. He's not running as frequently, not scoring as many runs and his power doesn't seem to be improving with experience. This coupled with the fact that I have a tonne of speed on my roster (I have 39SB's and the 2nd best team has 23!) has lead me to think that possibly trading Reyes isn't that bad of and idea.
The other manager has Pujols and I'd love to try get him. Id also love to try and improve at 3B. He also has Aram although Im not sure how good of an option Aram is at this time (injuries). Some more SP depth would also be nice.
Can you work me out a blockbuster??????
Thoughts on Howard/Reyes/Gonzalez for Aram/Pujols/Tejada/Lee??

If you can pull off that trade, go for it. Seems like you'll have to work around some players though. Pujols is just so nasty, I wouldn't trade him for simply Reyes.
It seems like you might be asking for too much, but if this deal goes through then I'd take it. I just don't see anyone trading Pujols (who is on fire) for a struggling Reyes at this point. That is unless the other owner has a huge hard-on for Reyes, which it seems a lot of people do.
Now is not the time to trade Jose. I have been watching him night in and night out. He is slumping, so you dont want to sell low. Once the weather turns and he starts running his value will be much higher. Stolen bases and runs come in bunches. He will start having those 4-5 3 SB 4 Run nights before you know it.
That being said, if you can deal him for Pujols straight up, do it!
that trade seems pretty fair - Reyes and Howard are 1st rounders and a-Gonz is a very nice player as well while you are getting A-Ram, Pujols, and Carlos Lee - player for player is favors you a tad in terms of power, but not as much as some are making it out to be

Well, if the guy has - like one poster said - a "huge hard on for Reyes," start the talk with Pujols for Reyes straight up. Depending on how savvy he is, you may be able to smooth talk your way into this trade. Especially if you've auto-declined every offer for Reyes so far, you can get on the same page as him with all this "Reyes is a golden god of baseball" mindset. Sounds like a perfect time to try and work some voodoo.
I would send the offer and see what happens. If he accepts than you win. If he declines than the real neogotiating will start. Send it and see what happens!
