Hopefully soon. I have no DL spot.

Vladimir Guerrero - DH - Los Angeles Angels - May 6 2009 8:53AM est
News: Vladimir Guerrero (torn pectoral) was able to run the bases "aggressively" and participate in agility drills Tuesday afternoon.
Impact: Vald will be reevaluated by team doctors on Wednesday. "He's feeling much stronger and much more comfortable," manager Mike Scioscia said. He is eligible to return from the disabled list at any time, but the Halos won't set a timetable until after his checkup.

2 for 16 with 0 Rs RBIs HRs SBs since Vlad's return from the DL.

Anyone concerned or have insight into what's up with him?

I had him last year. Despite a month or 2 stretch towards the end of the year, he was pretty awful. I think he's older than he says he is, and the age and injuries are catching up too him. Doesn't help that he's a free swinger and he isn't catching up to the ball.

Real problem is this: Pitchers are throwing him the same way they did in 04. Vlad cannot hit the same way as he did in 04 because of declining physical abilities. Vlad is trying to hit as he did in 04. Result? Low batting average, higher strikeout rate. Very simple. The guy can't rely on his superior athletic ability and must learn how to hit as a ballplayer so that he isn't facing 0-2 counts everytime he's up there. But in order for him to regain a spect of what he was before, he needs to be patient. Bet against it and bet against him. He's done.

Interesting insight on the post above. I have Vlad and am faced with believing what I see or hoping that he will turn it around. I picked up Luke Scott as insurance and know the guy can mash, but Id hate to have Vlad finally pull it together and eat it for trading low or out righting him to the wavier wire.

Ditto. I'm playing wait and see for at least two weeks or the All-Star break. One big concern is that bad pec continues to bother him, though I haven't seen anything to that effect.

He has never hit under .300 in his 12 year career so I will give him a bigger leash. Vlad got off to a very slow start a few years ago and still finished with Vlad numbers.

I think he's running out of steam if not done already. His body is breaking down :,-(
