Ok, I see the point in jumping off of Papi and his no homers, and wary that Fukudome will slow down. I don't think he will personally. I think that last year he's made adjustments and can produce a solid year. Bruce as a toss in? If you really want speed, here I think your overpaying and buying high on Hoffman. At his age he's risky.

I think your overpaying here for marginal upgrade if any.

What speed options are available in FA?

In your shoes I might go after Chone Figgins so he can play 3b for you and get you 35-45 steals this year and he might come cheaper than Upton. I would drop Coco Crisp in your shoes.

I have arod about to come back who will be my 3bagger..... as far as waiver wire goes its bare...... i kinda changed the offer a bit a did cordero instead of hoffman. I think if downs keeps the job the whole year then i lose on this trade. What about just bruce/ortiz for upton?
