I am in a deep keeper/auction league. We each have 40 players and can protect 30 of them every year. I have T.Hanson ($0.10) sitting on my farm/bench. I have been offered A.Harang ($0.90) for him. I am in second place and the Harang manager is in first. Do I do it?!?
Will Hanson be Harang's equal when he gets the call...or will it take him a year or two?!? My team is easily good enough to compete for first place with him whether I get Harang or not?!?
My starting pitching is...
SP - Felix Hernandez ($1.70)
SP - Matt Cain ($1.90)
SP - Chad Billingsley ($0.10)
SP - Tim Lincecum ($1.00)
SP - Clayton Kershaw ($0.10)
SP - Yovani Gallardo ($1.70)
SP - Edinson Vólquez ($1.00)
SP – John Danks ($1.00)
SP - Mike Pelfrey ($0.50)
SP - Manny Parra ($0.20)
SP - Jeremy Bonderman ($0.10)
SP - Phil Hughes ($0.20)
SP - Tommy Hanson ($0.10)
SP - Clay Buchholz ($0.80)
SP - Neftali Feliz ($0.10)
The manager I am dealing with (who is in first place) has the following starting pitchers...
SP - Johan Santana ($4.50)
SP - Justin Verlander ($1.00)
SP - Zack Greinke ($0.10)
SP - Aaron Harang ($0.90)
SP - Hiroki Kuroda ($0.30)
SP - James Shields ($1.00)
SP - Cole Hamel ($1.80)
SP - Rich Harden ($1.00)
SP - David Price ($0.10)
SP - Brett Anderson ($0.10)
SP - Randy Johnson ($0.10)
SP - Michael Inoa ($0.10)
SP - Madison Bumgarner ($0.10)
SP - Francisco Liriano ($0.10)
Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks

Hanson will not be as good as Harang this year, and probably not next year, but by 2011, he will be. If it were up to me, I would still hold onto Hanson if I believed I could win this year with or without Harang.
