this topic has taken aup a life of its own I see, I originally posted to see if anyone else was put in this situation but most people here were very knowledeable and I thank you for the advice. A couple of things to address some posters........
it is a money league, is there any other type?
as for "stealing" from my company? No I didnt nor was it stealing. I had a way I could fix the numbers on things I would sell that would post that I made more commision ,but I dont get money from that. In my work you have to post numbers and bring money to the company so making the numbers higher than what they actually were is not stealing,it was dishonest but I take exception to that remark.
As for this douche, the funny thing was he was an ok guy but once I got him in the league this dude was hardcore man. I mean ,I would get calls after work bragging about his guy hitting a HR or any little thing I would get texts or calls. An obscene amount. I love Fantasy baseball but I can control myself with the bragging, this douche was really crazy about it.
So to let you guys know what happened I decided to go ahead and make the trade and he later came to me and just like many of you guys called it he planned on making my league displeasurable. He said IF my team goes down in flames that I should collude with him to give him the super team ,which is just retarded. So I know ,even though he didnt say ,probably if I dont do that later on I will have the same blackmail issue so I just went in and told my boss everything. I really wish I told him the situation before accepting that trade because he was more pissed about my co worker than what I was doing (based on his reaction I dont think Im in that much trouble)so I am kicking myself repeatedly for accepting that trade. I emailed my league to protest the trade on the blackmailed basis so I get Greinke back and we are kicking this dude out of my league. And I am not giving his money back either (compensation for my stress over this).
You did the right thing. The blackmailing douchebag would have expanded his demands to other facets of your life beyond fantasy baseball. Glad your boss was somewhat cool about it and you did not lose your job.
i like the idea of accepting the trade, telling your other league members about it, and having them veto it. but seriously, this is insane. what a piece of s%$t c^$&ucker this guy is. hopefully the universe dishes out this guy some poetic justice.
you know whats funny is that after all this, the guy has the nerve to still text me bragging about his teams performance today. He doesnt realize he is being kicked out yet which I cant wait to do.

you'd better watch your back at work - he might hit you in the back of the head with a right hand

This topic doesn't make any sense. This isn't a fantasy baseball issue at all. As has been said, the guy is going to hold it over your head regardless, so what you do about the trade only matters from a fantasy baseball perspective. And by the way, what you did was 100% stealing. Maybe you didn't swipe bills from the cash register in the dead of night, but deceiving your employer as to the quality/quantity of your productive effort amounts to the same thing in the end. So don't kid yourself there.
Also, this topic is hilarious. The idea of blackmailing someone in real life to accept a fantasy baseball trade is pretty funny. I really like the idea of picking up an awful player and making that the "trade". Like if I picked up Willie Bloomquist for the express purpose of forcing someone to trade me Carlos Beltran for him. Just to add insult to injury.
Should have confessed to your boss first. If he was going to fire you over it, then you could have offered him Greinke. He would have been all over that shit.
