Being blackmailed for a player

Postby JRAMI » Tue May 05, 2009 10:44 pm

I am the commish of a private league I have been running for quite some time and have over the time invited some new players that I have met over the years.
Well I have this new guy in my league who I work with and he has been attempting for the last 2 weeks to get Zach Greinke off me which I have repeatedly have said no to.

Now he send me an email yesterday saying that if I dont trade him Greinke for his Lance Berkman (which is a joke btw) he is going to inform my boss of a situation I was involved in that I could for sure get canned for.
I didnt think he was serious but he pulled me to the side today and told me that he was serious and has already told one of my co workers so I am VERY worried.

Has anyone been in this situation before and what did you do?
I want to punch him out but that isnt an option unfortunately. There will be a mutiny in my league if I do this trade.

Tell him to go F himself. If he really tries to do anything, just have a copy of the email ready and show everybody how pathetic he is. If he was really serious about this then he wouldn't do something stupid like sending you a hard copy of his threat. He would have just told you verbally and thats it. Dumbas@.

yeah I have every single email he has sent and I am carrying with me as of tomorrow a voice recorder on my MP3 so I can record him. Unfortunately IF he follows through with his threat I dont think it will matter other than just show what an ass he is. Im kinda still worried actually and may give in. This really sucks.
Let this be a lesson to you all, NEVER invite a stranger to your own private league because now I am not going to have any fun in my league which I was really looking forward to this season

Fantasy Baseball shouldn't be taken seriously, It should be play at your computer in your boxers piss a$$ drunk. As Commisioner you should have the power to ban him from the league.

I agree with the ladder. In all seriousness i feel for you becuase this is ridiculous. This guy needs a life. Possibly give him the trade and notify the rest of the league privatlely of the situation and and have them veto it.

Otherwise hand over the commish reigns to another trusting manager and just get out of the situation.

Yeah dude, that guy is seriously lame I would let them know privately so the word spreads how much of a d*** that guy is and so nobody likes him at work (if it is work buddies in your league).
