Another nice outing. Looks real good this year. Contract year as well. You guys think he can keep it up?

I think he will. He is healthy for the first time in a few years and witht he upstart Mariners offense, run support and win opportunities are more abundant. I'm going to say 15 or 16 wins making for a nice rebound for Bedard.

First time in years? You make it sound like he is Mark Prior. He was hurt last year. Pitched 182 innings in 07 and 196 in 06.
I think Bedard was really undervalued going into the season. I don't think he will keep up the sub 3 ERA but a 3.5ish ERA and a 8+ K/9 rate is attainable for him.

I think his era will actually be closer to 3.0 then 3.5. Considering his best era was 3.16 in baltimore, now he plays in a much friendlier pitchers park with a better defense around him not to mention in an easier conference( no red sox rays or yanks) granted texas and angels can score some runs. I'm not saying hes going to repeat his career year in baltimore, but i think it will be very similar considering he stays healthy all year.

Uh, the mariners offense is terrible.
But yes bedard will likely be very good until (if) he gets injured. i own him in 2 of 4 leagues, woo.

Im talking to the guy who said offense.
Granted maybe I should have quoted him, but still.. someone said offense and run support within 3 posts of me.
The mariners defense will certainly be a helper to all M's pitchers, definitely legit.
