They have a specialist working with him who claims he can heal him in four weeks. We'll see. That's about all I know.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

He's back, but not very good obviously. He's got 2 HR and some ribbies with a .193 avg. in 82 at bats. :-? this isn't exactly what the Mets wanted....

Any other info on Reyes? What are the expectations? I read an article saying that the addition of Pedro and Beltran will help him out so that he can grow this season, instead of having all the pressure put on him.

So what are the expectations for him this season? 20 HR, 70-80 RBI, 50 SB?

He did great in Winter Ball and has done well in ST. The expectations are pretty high for him and all hinge on him staying healthy. 50 SB is a possibility but I doubt 20 HRs maybe 10 if we're lucky. ;-)

Anybody been out to Shea yet or seen the Mets play anywhere else this year?
My first Met game isn't until July. :,-(

Anyway, wanting to find out from those who've been to a game, how Jose has looked?
You can only tell so much from tv. A lot of people are throwing up red flags on him, but I want a homer take.
Hear he's popping pitches up, he looks fast as ever, etc.

Thanks, fellas.
