Postby MattG33196 » Tue May 05, 2009 11:04 am

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to know what your thoughts of this and if you would pull the trigger and accept the trade.

I would trade:

Soriano, Furcal and Berkman

For

Grienke, Franklin, Reyes and Derek Lee

What do you think??

I would go for it. Your staff needs some help and you get a 1st rounder in the deal.

This is a tough one. I like this kid Greinke-he has some nasty stuff and is starting to look like a real ace. Franklin seems to be gaining traction as well as a solid closer.

Here are my concerns: I am a huge Mets homer and have really lost a good deal of faith in Reyes. I watch almost every game and think he has really regressed skill wise and is obsessed with being a power hitter! I do not think he will put up spectacular numbers this year. I do not think it is out of the question that he bats .270 with 38 steals, 90 -95 runs, and 185-190 hits. Just buyer beware

You also need to be aware that a guy like Lee has some years on him and is susceptible to injury and if the Cubbies are strong later in the year they will rest this guy.

That being said I would still pull the trigger- If I am wrong and I pray I am- if reyes catches fire he is the best player in the deal
