Trade Adam Jones for Chad Qualls?

Postby Wolfken » Tue May 05, 2009 2:33 am

5X5 standard roto
I give Adam Jones and get Chad Qualls.
Stats suggests that Adam Jones is no fluke, and is headed to a 20-20-.285 or even better season.
Chad Qualls is also a good closer, and I think he worths more than his ADP suggests, but I am not sure if he worths me Adam Jones.
I have a crowded OF with 6 OFs battling for 3 OF and 1 Util spot.
However, I don't want to get ripped off in a trade just to resolve the position battle on my team

I'd say stay put. there will be other options and other oppertunities to deal Jones if the need be later on in the season. ride his hot streak and enjoy the benefits, the kid is for real.

As much as you may need a good closer, it's not worth a guy that can give you great stats in all 5 offensive categories. I'm not sure of your roster, but maybe you can get an SP in return on top of the closer, or another OF plus the closer.

This I agree with.
Or, at the minimum, you go after a much better closer.
