EPIC 3 Team Deal (Utley, Sizemore, Peavy, etc.) 100% WHIR!!

Postby litlmess15 » Tue May 05, 2009 2:21 am

Ok so heres what could play out if i pull the trigger. I Deal Grady Sizemore, Prince Fielder, Shin Soo Choo and Heath Bell to team A for Chase Utley, Matt Holliday, Josh Anderson and Felix Hernadez. Then i would deal Peavy and Holliday to team B for Victor Martinez and Carlos Beltran. OK so to Clear it up

Overall I Give: Grady Sizemore, Prince Fielder, Jake Peavy, Shin Soo Choo and Heath Bell
Overall I Get: Chase Utley, Carlos Beltran, Victor Martinez, Felix Hernandez, Josh Anderson

I'm leaning towards doing this, what do you all think? its a highly competitive 14-Team Head to Head leauge with the standard 5x5 categories with addition categories of K's for batters(hurts players like Sizemore and Feilder's values) and Losses for pitchers!

Please leave a link and i'll help you out with your dilema!

Looks good. I doubt that we've already seen the peak year of Fielder, and if he continues to slump in rest of the season, you win a lot in this trade.

Your offense gets one more big bat, especially after the injury to Doumit. However, you lose a little in the pitching IMO. All depends on how your saves will be effected the rest of the year, and if you view Peavy will have an off year (around 4 era for him). Even with a slow start, Peavy is more proven, but the upside to King Felix, even this year, is very high. You won't miss much of a beat with Felix over Peavy, but I think one exists.

I think you are right about my trade. I appreciate the advice. It's a free league between friends, but I only know one person in it, and he's the moderator and upset at me. Then again, he's been trying to take Harden and Billingsly off my team for as little as a closer (Ziegler) and Sandoval (true offer). He keeps saying that he was willing to try to sneak that by me, yet he gets upset at me when I do what I do. Got to love the hypocrisy.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for help on mine.

I am a big Peavy fan, think Sizemore will put up big numbers, and Fielder is just starting to heat up...so unlike other posters, I would not do it!

I dig it. You are upgrading your hitting IMO. Especially at C and 2B. I like Felix this year too and Saves are Saves, Bell is tradeable.

Thanks for your opinion on mine.

I think you can make the deal. You get a big upgrade at 2nd and C. I've always been a fan of Beltran, but you will lose some power, so I suggest trading a little for a high HR low AVG type hitter. You do lose some at pitching, but in a 14 team league, your staff is well rounded and won't be effected much. However, I think you can get a bit more in your second trade. Beltran has higher value than Holliday, but not by that much, and Peavy is one of the most consistent, elite pitchers in the bigs, and V-Mart is still only a catcher. Perhaps aim a little higher and get some more power instead of Victor.

Help with mine?
