Just Offered Halladay, should I Accept? WHIR

roster is in my sig. in obvious need of a SP - but is this deal worth accepting? it's a keeper league, upping hanson's value.

get: halladay/derosa (2b elig in my league)
give: b roberts/hanson

I would do this. Halladay is one of the best SP's in baseball.

Halladay for Roberts is fair and meets your needs, but I wouldn't give up the rights to Hanson in a keeper league. Can you target a lesser MI (and offer a lesser SP) or just pick up a FA to replace Roberts?

im not sure what to think of hanson. i don't like to keep pitchers personally, i mainly have him for his trade value. although you raise a good point, why not just trade roberts for halladay and keep hanson for myself or for use in another deal. if you think hanson is worth much more than derosa i'd have to go with one of these replacements: kaz matusi, bonifacio, getz, iwamura, or burriss.

I agree I'm not so sure you want to let go of Hanson in a keeper (never been in a keeper league).....most likely he's targeting him......

Counter with Roberts for Halladay straight up......I doubt he'll take though.......

I'd make the trade. Doc should be in contention for the Cy this year (tho Grienke would have him beat if the season ended today).

I dunno it depends how your keeper system works. If Hanson can be held for another 5 years a low price I wouldn't do it. In a non keeper I would do that in a heartbeat. Go for it if you trying to win this year and don't care about losing a potential stud pitcher keeper. You might be able to get a better deal for Hanson if you activly shop him around.
