the problem I am having is that I took Crawford in the 5th round of my draft this year based on pure value so obviously his value around my league is not what it should be....

The only OFs that are ahead of Quentin are 1st and 2nd round picks. Not sure why everyone is so down on him. He is a very good, young hitter. If you project his stats out over last season they were better then Josh Hamilton's. I'm just saying...

I'm just saying that Crawford (prior to this season) has been a 1st or 2nd round pick. The debate regarding this goes on, but the name value is the same. Someone with a SB deficit is may pay this price for someone like Crawford, I'm just saying.
Add in the questions regarding Quentin, and this is the way I would go.

Fair enough...although I think Crawford has been consistently overrated for the past few years. Maybe a better target would be someone like Jason Bay, in terms of consistency.

I went ahead and offered Crawford straight up for Carlos Lee just to what happens- this deal makes sense for me I believe

I offered Crawford for Bay straight up and the guy called me out on the messageboard, calling me an idiot and like his team needs more speed

I do understand that this soon after a draft, people still 'value' players based off of their draft position. BUT, at this point in the season, some managers tend to overreact to deficits in certains categories, stolen bases being one (saves usually the other). THIS is the situation that you need to attack, otherwise you will have a tough time making a trade that actually improves your team.

I am trying to trade him desperately because I do not need or want Crawford/Reyes/Abreu/Beltran/Holliday/even Beltre all stealing bases for me and simply crushing teams week to week... problem is this is a H2h league so people's deficits may not yet be realized as in a roto league
