Harden,Ianetta,Bourn for Soto, JD Drew, Overbay? WHIR

Postby Justblaze » Mon May 04, 2009 7:21 pm

I'm be giving up the Harden side. I like this deal value-wise because I'm giving up two of my latter round picks (Ianetta and Harden) for Soto and JD Drew. I'm probably going to drop Overbay. What do you guys think? I like Soto's potential if he can bounce back, especially in that Cubs lineup. As long as his Shoulder isn't too bad.

Here is my team.

I would not do that deal.... catcher is a position where the guy does not play every day and to me Ianetta is sufficient enough - add to the fact that Harden is an ace when healthy..... aim higher or for a position player rather than upgrading your catcher by offering a potential ace

you really don't need Soto and Drew has been only so so so far this year and you are pretty stacked at OF as is Ianetta is atrting to heat up and Harden has great K's and isnt really as bad as he looks, so I wouldn't give up on him eitehr considering you lack a elite SP. Soto seems to be getting the sophmore slump he has not extra base power (2Doubles) and his OBP is .292 Iannetta is hitting with more power (1Double 4hr) and has a .338 OBP

help with mine?

I wouldn't do it either. You're not making big enough improvements to give away Haren, who is a legitimate ace and much better than his teammates made him look in his first few starts.

Thanks for the help with mine.

you would be trading higher rewards for smoother medicrity - don't need to trade just for the sake of making a trade, don't think you would gain anything here short term or long
