Pitching strategy? Should I do this?

Postby Newkie » Mon May 04, 2009 4:37 pm

Hey, I am up against a manager this week that has 3 times the starts as I do in a H2H 6x6 scoring. He has no closers, so I am thinking of starting one of my closers tonight: Lindstrom (FLA), Mike Gonzalez (ATL) or Percival? Should I just get my one save and win that category, and hope that my era and whip are very low after one night to win those. I do have Lohse going against Philly tonight, or Josh Joshnson against Cincy. What strategy would you do? I absolutely have no chance in Wins, Innings pitched and K's. So if I can split the pitching 3 to 3, then I have enough confidence in my position players to win the majority of those.
Help, I would hate for this to backfire with one bad showing for a closer like Percival.

Thanks

sure , give it a shot. start gonzalez and lindstrom and see what happens. if they get a 1-2-3 save you can bench all your pitchers. if they don't then I would spot starting like a madman to try and catch him in the other cats.
