Geovony Soto was just dropped. Should I use my WW priority to pick him up and who should I drop? Molina is playing so well I am not sure I should drop him. What do you guys think?
Secondly, Beltre is stinking it up. Should I drop him for Russell Branyan or one of the following 3B? And finally, should I drop one of my bench OF like Burrell for Dukes,Young, J. Upton, Span, Crisp, Cameron?
(1) I was very high on Molina before the year started, and until I see otherwise, I would continue to ride him
(2) I was just in the same situation and as much as I had high hopes for Beltre before the season (he was a trendy pick among "experts" because he is in his contract year), I finally gave up on him and picked up Reynolds. Branyan was not available in my league, and I may have taken him instead, but that is a coin flip and pretty much your call.
(3) I would drop Burrell for either Crisp or Cameron.
Also, which Molina are we talking about here? Bengie or Yadier? Either way, with the way Soto is performing now, I probably wouldn't want to drop a catcher in favor of him. Yeah, I do expect him to turn it around but unless you can live without production at that spot for now, I would hold on to your current catcher until Soto returns to form. I seriously doubt he would clear waivers though, so if you do intend on doing it, I would drop one of the three guys on your bench, either Choo, Burrell, or Taveras.
Beltre does seem to be coming back around at the moment and I would probably stick with him since he's likely to give you the most consistent production of anyone you have listed. If I was going to pick up anyone from that list, I'd probably go with Reynolds as he'll likely give you the most of the options when it comes to HR and RBI.
Again, which Young are we talking about in the OF, Chris or Delmon? Either way, if you're going with anybody, I'd probably either go with Denard Span or Mike Cameron. Cameron will give you some power numbers but will likely regress in his average and Span will give you steals. Burrell does tend to be pretty streaky though, right now his average and OBP are right in line with his career numbers, you might just have to wait for the power numbers to come.
