I would do that if you think you can take the hit in Pitching. You have a need so I don't see anything wrong with that move. Thanks for the help on mine.

Hey there, you could use help with both pitching and in the outfield. So this trade would really cancel itself out since you are upgrading in the outfield but downgrading with pitching. However if you are deadset on making this deal I would say that you are getting pretty good value, Braun>>Pence and I think Beckett will start pitching better (plus he is on a better team than Lincecum,) so I think you could live with the dropoff between those 2 SP's. If you wanted to hold off on this deal I would wait until A-Rod comes back then trade Chris Davis for a solid outfielder or a solid SP.

I value Braun over Lincecum and Beckett over Pence. I think you won this trade easily. Take it. You're not really taking a hit in pitching at all. Beckett will finish the year with an ERA under 4, which means he will have a good run sooner or later.

for me, i value hitters over pitchers. so i would take this deal. you can always deal excess hitting for pitching.
thanks for answering mine.

I would take it and once A-Rod comes back and starts producing you can pawn off Davis to help if you need it in your pitching.

I think it is a pretty fair trade. You loose a little in pitching but gain a lot in hitting. I think Beckett will bounce back to his normal slf soon. Braun is miles ahead of Pence. I would do this!

Thanks for the help with mine!

Tough decision, but I'd probably do it. Braun / Lincecum are close to me, but Beckett is > Pence. I think what you gain with Braun more than offsets what you lose with Beckett.

I think I would do that deal as well. Yeah, you'll take a slight hit in your pitching but I think the offensive difference between Pence and Braun will be enough to outweigh the drop you see in the pitching categories. Beckett should hopefully pull it together soon, I don't know if I would expect a sub 4 ERA as another poster suggested but somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.20 to 4.40 won't be horrible.
