I would be giving Ordonez, branyon, and wandy and getting papi, hall, and joba...
Ordonez is the only player starting for me and would be replaced with Papi in the DH....
Joba would slot in for Majic Wandy ....
Volquez, Bedard, Burnett, Hughes, Liriano, Wakefield, and Masterson are my other starters, we use 5.
Should i buy low on this trade on Papi ? Ordonez has been pretrt deadful himself, he does not have one double or 3b on the year, and he has 2 HRs one in which hit the very top of the fence and bounced over, lol.

Hey man, I would not make this move. You have to look at Big Papi's numbers and the severe decline rather than just go by how big name of a player he is. Magglio is putting up better numbers and who know's if Ortiz will finish the season with better stats? Joba and Wandy are similar pitchers in my book, give the edge to Joba since he plays on a better team and will get more wins. The issue is that he might be moved back to the Yankees depleted bullpen, if this happens his value drops down to almost nothing. I like Branyan better than Bill Hall as well.
i hear u 100% but if you look at Ordonez i dont think he has a SINGLE DOUBLE!!! on the year... he is WAY down on his production... we are in a points league h2h, and in the last 14 days papi has outscored Maggz by about 20 believe it or not... we are not punished for Ks either...
Ordones has scored 62 points on the season and Papi 65 Hall 68 braynon 87 (who would of thought hall and branyon would be outscoring Papi and magz)
and wandy and joba are a wash to me, both bench pitchers
Magz has had me so mad at him all season, so when i was offered this i got a little excited. I realize it is trading one head ache for another but maybe a better one... i just want to gauge who actually thinks papi will get back in the swing of things...
and i was right Magz has 21 singles and NOT ONE DOUBLE on the season, imo that it pathetic.

I mean it all comes down to Magglio and Ortiz, I think they are both past their prime so it is hard to gauge who will put together a better season. Either way I think you will get similar production, however I would give the upside to Ortiz since he is a better hitter than Magglio.
