i have Berkman and hes pissing me off.. but im confident hes going to turn things around. ive read people worrying about Berkman, but he current has .143 BABIP, .1 friggin 43 BABIP.
Kelly Johnson. he too has a low BABIP, but now hes being sent to the bench for Omar infante. Johnson is another im confident can turn things around, but in order to do that he needs to be in the lineup. i dont care how hot Infante has been lately, Johnson is the better player.
i started the season with Kouzmanoff as my 3B, but about 2 weeks in a package trade i moved Sizemore and got back Cabrera. for the 2 weeks Cabrera didnt help much in power until saturday, but hes certainly alot better than Kouzmanoff.
i drafted McCann at catcher. hes on the DL and if his glasses dont work i read he might not even have surgery until after the season ..but atleast i have Inge now at catcher so im Ok there.
Oh where do I begin??? In a keeper league and I'm presently 1-3 playing the only undefeated team in our league. Who's killing me???? Between injuries and underperformances,I may have one of the best teams on the planet that sucks.
1.) Brandon Webb- I have a wierd feeling he will not pitch at all this season. 2.) Chris Carpenter- I just knew he was headed for a Cy Young type season 3.) Matt Holiday- Tried like hell to move him in the off-season 4.) David Wright- He's striking out at least once a day it seems!!! 5.) Alex Rios- No comment 6.) Vlad Guerrerro- I thought thiscould possibly be a bounce back year : ( 7.) Brandon Phillps - Mr. 1 for 4 and a strikeout at your service!!!!!
The guys that I either picked up off of the wire or drafted late are the ones performing the best.
Cantu, Inge, Damon, Buehrle, Lowell, Sandoval, Heath Bell, and Weeks have been pleasant surprises. Once my aforementioned diappointing players and Hanley wake up, my team should be fine....I hope.
Thankfully, my record is still 3-1, but I have a few people that are holding me back as of now.
Tulo, Beckett, Liriano are the ones that come to mind. Then there are the strugglers that are droppable, but I have chosen not to as of now (Fuentes, Baker, Valverde).
