You forgot to mention he is striking out in 22% of his PAs (should be less than 20%), and his BB/K rate is only 0.4 (should be over 0.5). Also, him being 26 in AAA means he is about 3 years too old for his league. He is a classic AAAA player. He might have a hot month, ala Chris Shelton, Shelley Duncan, etc, but I wouldn't expect anything great long term.

Fox is hitting .420 now with 15 HR? What has gotten into this guy and why is there not more talk about him?

He isn't good at any position. He needs to play somewhere he can DH.

I'm thinking D. Lee's neck is worse than lead on. Once D. Lee hit's a D.L. stint that will open up playing time for Fox. Hoffpauir would still platoon RF/1B. Fox has showed good potential, in 2008 with his 388 ABs at AA. He hit .307 with 25 HRs and a .977 OPS. He has taken up to another level this year over his 122 ABs he has 15 HRs and OPSing a sickly 1.455!

The guy had a great spring and is a .291 career minor league hitter. It's not like he's coming out of nowhere he's just taking his game to the next level, he will be 27 in 5 weeks afterall.

Everything I've read about Fox indicates he could step right into a major league roster and tear up big league pitching; however, he is absolutely brutal defensively, so he would obviously need to provide more offensive benefit than defensive damage.

If I were the Cubs, I would take the risk.
