I think you could get just about anybody packaging Lilly and Buehrle, but I'd rather stay pat. Maybe package one with a RP or lesser SP and you could probably land Peavy.

Would you be interested in taking a chance on somebody who has started slow like Beckett? Perhaps you could get him on the cheap. You would likely have to give up one of your starters and a closer to pick up a upper tier pitcher IMO.

I was actually looking at Beckett when you posted. I was thinking the same thing. I'm drawing blankson other top starters that are slow gettng going. Other then Burnett and CC. I doubt I could get either of them anyway. But I am looking for K's and Wins.

I dropped a note to the owner of Beckett. Got an instand No thanks reply. Was worth the try. What other starters would I get for either Buerhle/Lilly and Zeigler. Somebody that is slow starting works but has a proven track record for K's nd Wins. ? Harden? K's anyway and is off to a nice start.

I'm trying to get Beckett in my league as well. I offered him Lowell and Davies. I don't think that'll fly...but I'm hoping I'll get a counter I can work with.

Harden is a good option too. I think you're going to have to find somebody who need a closer and has an overabundance of starting pitching...otherwise you'll likely have to give up a bat.

The Beckett owner also has Bedard. I offered him his choice of Buehrle / Lilly and Zeigler for Bedad and any pitcher of his chice from his team. No reply yet. Probably going to be a no as well. Meanwhile I'm still shopping.
