Potential Closers ?

Postby djack909 » Sat May 02, 2009 12:20 am

I have Ray, Ziegler, and Hawkins, No one will accept any trade offers. (Example a player with 1 pt for wins and 11 points for saves and 6 closers, turned down Lirianno for Franklin) Saito, Coffey, Villannueva, Taverez,Balfour, Cruz, and Perry are available as FA. Are there any others to consider? Madson,Corpus,Street, Motte, Lyon, Ryan, Zumaya, Hanrahan,Marmol. Gregg, and Rodney are taken. I have Verlander as an available drop.

sit tight, in like 3 days another potential closer will come out of the wood work.
I basically 'accidently' punted saves in one league, and while still am second to last in saves (was last, now 1 behind 10th, 2 behind 9th, 3 behind 8th, and 5 behind 7th!) I have turned nothing into:
Gregg - Drafted LATE
Corpas - Drafted LATE
Downs - picked up in weekish 1
Gonzalez - someone dropped last week
At one point or another I have also had Hawkins, McClellan, Balfour and Perez. 8-o

Street is the closer.

I'd just sit tight and wait for something to happen.

Watch out for Wuertz/Bailey in Oakland
Aarsdma in Seattle (maybe cordero eventually)
Hawkins (houston)
Soriano (atlanta)
Putz (NYY)
Melancon (NYM)
Balfour, Baez, Niemann (TB)
Saito (uh whats wrong with Paps?)
Dotel
Nunez (FL)

All these guys taken?
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
