Teixeira for Holliday? WHIR

I'm thinking of offering this trade. I have Holliday, and both are slumping, but I see Teix pulling out of it better than Holliday. Agree/disagree? Should I offer the trade straight up, or try something else? I could move M-Cab to 3rd and Chipper to IF. He's weak at LF, and has Howard at 1B.

2nd question: Chris Young (SP) is on the waiver wire. I have #1 WP. Do I use it to claim him?

most people understand that tex is always a slow starter. he gets progressively better as the season goes on, just look at his stats. i have tex, and i drafted him knowing that... so no i dont think you can get him for holliday, whos stats are not going to match up with his time at coors field. if he accepts, you win tho! good luck.

OK, so it won't work straight up. Holliday is still a stud, it's not like I'm offering chopped liver. Any advice on how to sweeten the deal?

I would try to get Tex as well. IMO Maybe offer Holliday and Murphy (while he is still playing) for him. Straight up most likely won't work. Good luck

I don't see holliday and murphy getting it done either. For teixera, I'd want to be upgraded at another position aswell.

If you can get Tex for Holliday do it. When A-Rod comes back to protect him he can sit on the fastball all day. He should see a good numbers jump.

You're great at 1B. Why not offer Holliday for a stud 2B or SS to improve one of those positions?

As for Young, yes, use your waiver position for him.
