Is this another "no brainer"

Postby roundBallJef » Fri May 01, 2009 9:55 am

I just got offered Dustin Pedroia and Jason Werth for my Aaron Hill. I don't need Werth, but Pedroia is VERY enticing.

Is this a no-brainer, or does Hill have that much potential?

Thanks, WHIR

Well you can't expect a season from Hill like he had, but he's no fluke. The guy is 27 (prime age), had all kinds of potential for a breakout and seems to be finally over the injury bug.

I'd rather get an upside pitcher or prospect in deal to make it better.

Pedroia cna flat out rake though.

LOL I have no idea why the other owner would want to swap Pedroia for Hill? At the moment they are a wash, but I trust Pedroia over the course of an entire season a lot more than Hill. If you get Pedroia you can't lose in this deal because there is no way he will put up worse numbers than Hill, you are getting a more secure player and I would make this deal in a heartbeat.

Yeah, its a no-brainer. The AL MVP for a hot start sell-high player (although Hill is for real, he isn't THIS good).
