How is my team?

Postby bost0n » Sat Mar 13, 2004 2:31 pm

First overall pick.
C Jason Varitek (8)
1b Aubury Huff (6)
2b Marcus Giles (7)
SS Alex Rodríguez (1)
3b Mike Lowell (4)
OF Manny Ramirez (2)
OF Shawn Green (9)
OF Rocco Baldelli (14)
UTIL Carl Crawford (13)
BENCH Austin Kearns (17)
BENCH Corey Patterson (18)
BENCH Josh Phelps (21)
SP Tim Hudson (3)
SP Mark Mulder (5)
RP Jason Isringhausen (12)
RP Danny Kolb (19)
P Carlos Zambrano (10)
P Brandon Webb (11)
P Jose Contreras (15)
BENCH Rich Harden (16)
BENCH Edwin Jackson (20)

The league is a 12 person league I did with my buds (each put in $15).I think I did a fairly good job drafting here. I was surprised alot of my picks were still around when i got to them. Do you see any large holes? The only real problem is my relief pitching could be suspect. Any help is appreciated.

Corey Patterson in the 18th may be the steal of the draft!

I said that when i got him. He was completely overlooked by everyone, including myself. I kicked myself for letting him fall that late.

You liked Huff so much you drafted him twice, eh? :-D j/k

4th seems a bit early for Lowell. But still an excellent team, no doubt.

That was supposed to say Rocco Baldelli (14), but i by accidently put in Huff again.

Lowell was the last pick of the 4th round and I'm looking for a spectacular year from him.

if you are worried about your closers, i would look to see if rob nen is available on the waiver wire......i got him with the last pick of my draft. they say he has no pain in his arm....but also you might want to pick up chacon, he pitched great for a colorado SP last year and will be the closer this year. hope this helps!

Nen was taken relatively early. Chacon is gone too. Hardly any good people on the waivers.

you could trade baldelli or crawford for some relief help, i think your team would be fine with one of those traded. arthur rhodes is a good choice since he will be the closer of the A's........also another idea is get F-Rod of the angels....if percival has any problems F-rod will be the closer.

He is gone. I need crawford and baldelli for my lack of speed. I might trade one of my other hitters for some relief, though.
