Holliday for Lincecum

Postby rjforlife » Thu Apr 30, 2009 5:56 pm

I give Lincecum/Chris Davis/Elijah Dukes. I get Matt Holliday/Josh Johnson/Joey Votto. Pretty much 1b/sp/of for 1b/sp/of so I won't post teams but I need a little hitting help and my pitching is in good shape. Should I pull the trigger on this? Its a 9 team 5x5 roto. We start 9 pitchers and 14 players on offense. Non-keeper.

hmm close. I might stay put. I don't like holiday at all this year and Chris Davis should turn it around. Lincy will be a lot better than josh johnson.

I would do that trade i think holliday is too good to keep struggling so hard and josh johnson isnt that far a step down but joey votto is going to have a great year

I like the trade for you. Davis is overrated, but votto is the real deal. JJ is an excellent pitcher & holliday will produce.

I see a lot of positives and negatives to this trade. Holliday/Johnson/Votto is probably the better package but onnly if Holliday starts to hit. I don't know if he will being out of Colorado. Lincecum, on the other hand, is easily the best player in the deal.

I would favor holding onto what you got or if your pitching is deep try and get someone other than Holliday (Rios comes to mind).

Thanks for the help w/ mine!

Who else is on your pitching staff?

I'm a big JJ and JV fan so I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger but if the rest of your pitching staff isn't that great then that can change my whole outlook.

Greinke/Joba/Zambrano/Danks/Garza/Lohse/Hughes/Ubaldo/Ricky Romero(DL) is the rest of my staff. Not amazing but add Josh Johnson and its really a respectable staff for a 9 teamer as I play matchups each week and usually come out with 6-7 solid spots each week.......
