Crappiest trade ever? WHIR 100%

Postby Hit Factory » Thu Apr 30, 2009 4:19 pm

I was telling someone in my league that I was interested in Tulow (my current SS is Khalil Greene :-t ) so he offers me Tulow and Mora for Hamels and Aaron Hill, I think that is hilarious and probably the worst trade offer I have seen in awhile. What do you guys think? I still want to get Tulow, what do you think is a good counter offer from me? WHIR 100%, THANKS!!

I would say try sending him Hill straight up for Tulo. Looks at their 2007 numbers really not too far fetched depending on who his 2nd baseman is. Another one I could see would be Dunn but I think you'd have to receive something a little extra if you were to purpose that one to him. Or if you only start 3 OF's try using Dye.

The guy has interest in Hill and Hamles if he made an offer for them. I would trade either of them for Tulo plus another player (someone better than Mora, the best player you could realistically get). I think Tulo outperforms both Hill and Hamels from here on out.

Hill is a good sell high candidate, so you could probably get Tulo and another good player for him. I'm not a big fan of Hamels (largely due to his IP jump last season + ineffectiveness this year). For his name alone, you could probably do just as well with him as Hill.

Hope that helps. If you have time: viewtopic.php?t=382019

If you are not too attached to Hamels I would try Hill, Hamels, and Dunn for Tulo and a 1B upgrade over Dunn

I was thinking about this possible deal, my Sizemore and Hamels for his Tulow and either Matt Kemp or Soriano, I would need a player who could partially make us for Grady's stolen bases in the deal.
