Should I pick up Scott Baker?

Postby CMCrai » Wed Apr 29, 2009 10:49 pm

I know he has had a rough couple of outings lately, but he is on our FA list. Would any of you pick him up and sit on him? Or is this a chen ming wang situation? I'm in a 12 team h2h league and here is my pitching staff..

Dan Haren
Felix Hernandez
Javier Vasquez
Verlander
Gallaraga
Buerhle
F. Cordero
F. Fransisco

I wouldn't have to drop anyone because I have a open roster spot left.

If you have an open spot, then sure why not? You don't lose anything by grabbing him unless there is someone better available. I don;t think much of Baker, but if he turns it around, it's a great move for you.

Help?

With the exception of maybe Gallaraga (it's a coin flip) I like all of the pitchers you have more then Baker. He might be decent this year, but there is no way he's posting an era in the low 3s again.

Can you return the favor plz - viewtopic.php?t=381869

For sure, unless there is someone better on waivers. At very least, you can wait for him to start behaving like the pitcher he is supposed to be and trade him for name recognition. He is projected to be a top 40 starter in a lot of circles.
