Just received a very interesting trade offer. Which I am going back and forth on.
Get:
Jake Peavy
Give:
Alexei Ramirez
Heres My Team:
C Chris Iannetta
1B Joey Votto
2B Alexei Ramirez
3B Mike Lowell
SS Jose Reyes
OF Nick Markakis
OF Nate Mclouth
OF Corey Hart
UTIL Carl Crawford
BN Aaron Hill
BN Jay Bruce
SP Roy Halladay
SP Zack Greinke
RP Chad Qualls
RP Joakim Soria
P Scott Downs
P LaTroy Hawkins
P Javier Vazquez
BN Erik Bedard
BN Paul Maholm
BN Mark Buehrle
2B and 3B are my biggest weaknesses imo, not too worried about catcher since I can snag Yadier, Naps and Suzuki if Iannetta doesn't come around.
Notable FAs are Jose Lopez, Hank Blalock, Clint Barmes, Josh Fields, all decent options.
I like Alexei since he covers three positions I'm just wondering will Hill keep this up? If he does I make this trade w/o a doubt if not I don't. Otherwise I make trade and drop LaTroy for Lopez.
Thoughts?

I'd do this trade no problem...especially with Hill being able to slide at 2B and you already have Reyes at SS.

So you think Hill can hold up then?
Hes done it before, I just don't want Ramirez to heat up like last year and regret this in the end. Not that I have a problem with a platoon of say Hill and Barmes/Lopez.

He might keep it up, but in either event, Peavy's ceiling as a pitcher is higher then Ramirez's value...

Take the deal! Peavy is is one of the best pitchers in baseball even though he is in a bit of a rut right now. The guy is selling him EXTREMELY LOW!! If by any miracle Peavy gets traded to a contender before the deadline his value will skyrocket, make this deal and roll with Aaron Hill at 2nd.

This is a no brainer. As soon as Peavy gets out of this rut you will have doubled your value
