Is this trade fair?

Postby bcbhockey68 » Wed Apr 29, 2009 12:28 pm

Is this a fair a good trade for my team? Will I get killed in pitching if I don't deal for a pitcher (a few teams have two aces but the rest have worse pitching than my team)? Also I just got Grandy in a trade, and was wondering, is it taboo or frowned upon to turnaround and deal players right off the bat?

My Pedroia, Zimmy, Granderson for his Wright, Dye, and Aaron Hill

H2H 14 team keeper league keep 5 per year

My Team:
C Jorge Posada (NYY - C)

OF Ryan Braun (Mil - OF)
OF Curtis Granderson(Det - OF)

I would do it. You are getting the best player in the trade. It is true that you are giving up quite a bit, but Wright is a top five overall talent and will be for a long time. Remember, you can only keep 5.

That's what I thought, do you think my pitching will be alright and is it bad to turnaround and deal a player that you just got in a trade?

or would my Pedroia and Zimmy for Longoria and Derosa be a better trade?

Do the first trade, you're getting the best player in the deal and I really like Hill.

One thing I would say, though, is that you should try to shore up your SP, you have far too many bench slots taken up by offensive players that just won't play, and especially with a thin SP staff you should have more weekly options. Figure out which of Posada and Iannetta you want on your squad and dump the other (or if someones catcher is hurt try and get somethng back in a trade). I'd dump Andrus...how many times will you actually play him over Jeter? No one will pick him up until he starts tearing the cover off the ball and running wild, so he'll still be an option down the road. The one i'd hang on to is Upton, there's just WAY too much potential there to get rid of.

Ok thanks I needed that opinion because I'm leary to trade Granderson right after I got him.

Also I'm dropping Beltre and Elvis if this trade gets accepted and trading Iannetta for Nolasco if all goes perfect but what pitchers do I pick up?

Alright so the guy didn't go for the Iannetta/Nolasco swap so should I drop him for a pitcher or keep him for the days Posada has off?
