I see Giles hitting for 30 points (or more) better than Sosa.

8-o You have got to be kidding? Sosa is in a clear decline and to call him predictable as Chipper is laughable.

he may be in decline but he still out produces giles. 40 hrs is a decline while for anyone other player its a career high. I wouls still pick sosa.

Giles is only more valuable than Sosa in a league that uses OPS or OBP. Sosa's power and RBI totals make him the stronger choice overall. But again, Giles is very, very good.

In a roto format I think that you have to pick Giles. Sosa's .245 post all star AVG scares me a little. Giles does everything average or above average.

In a points league they are pretty close.

.279 to .309

I'm probably being a little generous to both with those numbers

I think your talking about Brian Giles. SD new ballpark is 420 feet to right field. Giles is a better hitter, but Slammin Sammy can't be overlooked for his 60+ hrs around 300 avg. 150+ rbis and 120 runs.. that he'll hit this season . Sammy in the second and Giles in the third.
