Team put Peavy, Volquez, and Vasquez on the block

Postby BALCO All-Stars » Wed Apr 29, 2009 12:22 pm

A team is looking for HR/R/RBI and is putting Peavy, Volquez, and Vasquez on the block.

14 team, 5x5 roto, 5 keepers...into this season my keepers were Howard, BJ, C Lee, Granderson, and Oswalt.

C: Posada
1B: Howard
2B: Kaz
3B: Lowell
SS: Asdrubel Cabrera
OF: C Lee
OF: BJ
OF: Granderson
OF: Adam Jones
BN: Freddy Sanchez, Brandon Wood, Wieters, Stephen Drew
DL: Vlad
SP: Oswalt, Shields, Baker, Pettitte
RP: Jenks, Bell, Ziegler, Chris Perez, Beimel
DL: Kuroda

I desperately need a high K/9 guy (last in K's already, although it's early)...I was thinking of offering Jones for Vasquez...thoughts? I could probably do C Lee for Peavy but I don't want to give up C Lee so early, but I do need to make some room over the next couple of weeks for Kuroda and Vlad.

Looks like you're an Angels fan, but screw Vlady, see if he'll get you Vazquez.

Not at all...just believe in Brandon Wood although Scoscia doesn't seem to think so.

I agree with ayebatter, try and get Vasquez for Vlad...that would be a great trade for you.

trading vlad for vasquez is not trading low at this point imo. i think vlad is on the down side of his career. vasquez is going to ring up a ton of k's this year and his era could end up around 3.50 this year. thinking maybe 14 wins, 3.50 era, 1.30 whip and 190-220 k's is def possible. I would do it.

can u help

Vlad has been regressing in past couple of years.

You mind as well should just throw Vlad out there for Peavy and see if he bites first, if not trade him straight up for Vazquez.

Both will get you solid amount of strikeouts in return regardless and Javy is pitching real well in ntl league.

I agree with the other posters, I would not consider this selling low on Vlad, plus Vasquez is a really solid pitcher who, imo, will have continued success this season in the national league.
