3 Top tier players on waivers who should I take

Postby slw87 » Wed Apr 29, 2009 12:00 pm

I am in an 11 team mixed league with a season total points system. The scoring system is as follows: AB -.25, R 1, H 2.25, 2B 1, 3B 2, HR 3, RBI 1, SB 1, CS -1, BB 2, IP 6, W 6, SV 6, H -2, ER -1.25, HR -3, BB -2, K .5. there are three big names that have come on the waiver wire in the last few days. They are Mag. Ordonez, Garret Atkins, and Geovany Soto. Should I drop someone on my roster and pick up one of these three right ? If so who and why? Who do you think will turn it around? Who has the most upside. Keep in mind that catchers are a little more valuable in this league because they are not a deep position therefore with Soto I might be able to dangle martin or soto when he gets hot again.

Ianetta has to go...he doesn't even start despite putting up good numbers. Pick up Atkins or Soto. If you get Soto, wait for either him or Martin to get hot and trade him away for a needed position.

Also chone figgins is out there. If you could rank 1, 2, 3, 4 of importance to pick up how would you rank them. Also who has the biggest turnaround? Which player has the most upside in value?
