living on the left coast and i have the option to grab hughes before my leaguemates get up. is this a knee-jerk reaction to a good start (from an admitted yankee fan) or is hughes a better option right now than u jimenez?

let him be someone else's problem. At best, he is as good as Jimenez this year, you can't always hope for the best. Or, maybe you can, and then, still.
Couldn't check the cafe the last few days, so sorry for the delayed response on the WHIR and it's probably past relevancy, but for what it's worth...
I'd def take Hughes in this situation - while (as a Yanks fan) I'm not sure how many starts he'll get, or how they'll handle the situation if he keeps pitching well and Wang gets back to form, but bottom line is right now Jimenez is all over the place, and Hughes looks really close to being what was expected of him. Ride him while he's hot, and if he ends up out of the rotation - (though I think they''ll find a way to get him starts if he does stay hot - go to a 6 man maybe?, which would keep his and joba's innings down - not to mention the distinct possibility of another injury to a starter or Wang not getting back to form) - even if he does end up out of the rotation, I don't think you're missing much by passing on Jimenez now, at the present the guy is a talented mess with no location whatsoever.
