I gave up Derrek Lee and Liriano, what do you all think? My 1B are Votto and Howard.

I like it for you, both of the players you gave up are sub par at best, and while peavy has had his struggles he's one of the pest pitchers in the game when on.

i worry about peavy but at the same time i worry more about liriano right now, so i think you are fine because d lee is declining at such a rapid rate that i won't even discuss him.

Agreed, at their best I'd still like Peavy over Liriano, so at their worst (now) it's the same deal. You would never play DLee anyway, so good deal for you. Now let's just hope there is nothing seriously wrong with Jake!

a no brainer. D Lee is a low end 1B option (and who cares since you have Votto and Howard) and Peavy >>> Liriano. good deal! Now if I could only get a similar deal in my league... :-[

You stole his lunch money is this deal. I have been a Peavy owner for four or five years and now and sometimes he stinks for a little while. Then he gets himself right and is his normal amazing self. It is important to note that the last time he played in the WBC he had a subpar year. But even if that is the case, I think he outperforms Liriano. Just be happy you got some value out of Lee, that guy is in DEEP decline.

good deal. lee's value is just from name recognition and not recent stats.
