is pena better than teixeira?

I can pick up pena.Is he really as good as his statistics?No one in my league seems to be interested.I could drop texas's cruz and pick up Pena. teixeira is aweful and pena could take his place in the lineup until tex starts hitting ,if he ever does.I need some feedback .

This has to be a very Shallow League there is no way Pena should be on waivers.
