With Webb looking to be out through the end of May and Peavy struggling, my pitching staff has taken a few lumps. I liked the way Edwin Jackson pitched tonight against a solid, albeit somewhat struggling, offense in the Yanks. Would you drop Davies to pick him up? (I'm looking for the most well-rounded pitcher, not any categories in particular).
I’ve also considered dropping Anibal Sanchez for Jackson -- Sanchez had a rough last outing, but seemed to get his act together after a tough first inning, and I like his upside more than Davies. Thoughts? WHIR
Not much available on the WW - in addition to Jackson, right now I'm looking at Micah Owings, Braden Looper, Rick Porcello, Kevin Millwood, and Scott Richmond (pitched well tonight but I'm not sold). And obviously I have my eye on Tommy Hanson, but I'm not quite ready to burn a roster spot on him just yet - sounds like he'll be up no earlier than June. Let me know if you think any of these guys would be a better play.
My roster's below - thanks.
C – Posada 1B – Howard 2B – Weeks 3B – Huff SS – Young OF – C. Lee OF – Braun OF – Ordonez Util – Ethier BN – Damon
SP – Lincecum SP – Peavy SP – Webb (DL) SP – J. Johnson SP – Danks SP – Volstad SP – A. Sanchez SP – Davies RP – Rivera RP – Wood RP – Qualls RP – Percival
it's really a toss-up to me. davies may be a bit more consistant over the course of the season vs edwin's upside. no reason not to take a risk on him i guess. there are plenty like davies on the WW.
