I'd keep Gallardo. You trade him and your pitching staff is basically Bedard. Burnett, Danks, and Maholm will help but they are not above average pitchers. I like Rollins, but wouldn't do that deal.
I doubt the other guy would take that but it would be worth the hit to your staff. Plus you get a couple of open roster spots. If this is a daily H2H league you can afford to go with spot starters for a while. Or you could trade Rollins again when he gets rolling.
That's a tough one, I agree w/ the one reply that you'd really be denting your staff. Gallardo and Danks would be a big blow, and I think you're short-selling Danks a bit; he's definitely coming down (look at tonight), but he'll be a reliable SP.
At the same time, I wouldn't want to bank on Hardy or Bartlett. With your offensive strength and given the players you listed, why not consider dealing Pena (could be a sell high), and pair with one SP. You may be able to get Rollins for a slight discount now.
Looking at FA list, Id most likely pick up 2 of the following: Ubaldo Jimenez, Phil Hughes, Oliver Perez, Tim Wakefield, Brian Bannister, Andy Petite, Masterson, J. Zimmerman, Tommy Hanson, chris Samson.
They don't look too bad! (Esp Wakefield, Zimm, Masterson)
The only other thing im wondering is that if Im punting sb, is it even worth it?
My Roster: C - Sandoval, 1B - Pujols, 2B - Hill, 3B - Youkilis, SS - Bartlett, OF - Beltran, OF - C.Lee, OF - A.Ethier, UTL - Pena, BN - Magglio, BN - JJ Hardy, BN - Lowell, BN - C.Davis
No real other speed guys on my squad, but then again, its a weekly h2h, so one guy can really help in a week, that is IF rollins starts producing.
I think you definitely have some decent options available on the WW -- I like Zimm and Masterson, but I like Pettite over Wakefield; that knuckler scares me, when it's not on he's open to getting lit up. Jimenez and Perez are guys to keep an eye on, but man they can explode your ratios, and it sounds like if Perez doesn't get it together this weekend vs. the Phils, he's out of the rotation at least temporarily. I like Galaragga and he's a nice guy to have, but despite these options I'd still be reluctant to throw off both Gallardo and Danks.
I think Hughes is really close, but it's just a matter of getting starts, which will probably depend on a significant injury to a Yankee starter or if they go to a 6-man later in the season to keep Joba's innings down; I expect Wang to get over his lower body issues and he'll get his place back.
And obviously Hanson is a great guy to keep an eye on as he gets closer to getting a call up.
