I made a bet in 2003 that the Devil Rays would win the 2008 World Series. Oh so close.

I don't understand why these threads, that start out with good solid contributions and suggestions always turn to garbage.

I came here to see what cafe members had to say about star players who have been struggling; not to read sly jokes.

Or at least if you wanna make a joke, do it after some analysis, or something.

Thoughts?

This is why most don't even start to question their players until mid May. The real thread should come after May or even June to see who will turn around their seasons in the second half. April doesn't really tell you a whole lot....similar to September numbers.

that's why.

I understand. However, their are plenty of players with only 1-2 REALLY good years who people are concerned about. Why is it not reasonable to ask about them and get real answers? Instead of wasting people's time with tongue in cheek answers, why not delete the thread so as not to bog down the forum with useless information.

Or if people want to crack jokes, why not go to general talk
