Trade? Cano for Inge

Postby slw87 » Tue Apr 28, 2009 2:40 pm

I am in an 11 team mixed league with a season total points system. The scoring system is as follows: AB -.25, R 1, H 2.25, 2B 1, 3B 2, HR 3, RBI 1, SB 1, CS -1, BB 2, IP 6, W 6, SV 6, H -2, ER -1.25, HR -3, BB -2, K .5. I have been offfered a trade brandon inge for robinson cano strait up. should I take this deal? I do need to trade a 2b because I have orlando hudson as well and I really like inge's hot start and flexibility in the lineup especially useful at catcher. Do I jump on this one or not?

I wouldn't. Although Inge credits much of his success due to a new batting stance and a full-time gig at 3B, you can't ignore his previous stats. He's never had a season with an OPS over 800, and only one year with an average BA. While I am a huge Tigers fan and love his start to begin the season, one can't expect him to keep it up. He'll maybe end the year with a .260/25 clip, but I think you can get a better player than a sell-high Inge.
