Big Trade involving Bruce and Martin.... do I do this? WHIR

Hey Guys

This will be a big trade for me... its with my arch enemy! The 2 of us have been 1 and 2 over the past 3 years!

I give
Bruce and Dunn

I get
Martin and Rios

My Other option is just a 1 for 1 either Bruce or Dunn for Martin or Rios. (I think I need Martin more since I dont really have a catcher)


Do I do this? I would lose power but I can drop taveras and pickup some power (Konerko, laroche, Thome, etc)

First off, what are your keeper rules and is this H2H or ROTO?

But regardless, I don't want Martin. Yes, he is better than what he's palyed, but in a 10 team league with 1 C, the difference between Martin and any schmoe on the WW is not that great.

Now Rios, I think, is an upgrade over both players for this year. But I like Bruce for the future. Regardless, I'd probably be willing to trade Dunn for Rios. If this is Roto, the boost in average would be helpful, plus, like you said, you can pick up someone like Konerko off the WW.

I like Martin for the upgrade in avg and speed... and he is eligible at 3b. But maybe your right, how much more in roto is he going to give me than yadier molina?

I would do either for Rios. I wouldn't normally do Dunn but with Sizemore your average will get killed from the both of them.

Considering you keep 6, yes. I'd choose Dunn to trade for the reason Mac-Unit described. In a H2H, I'd maybe be willing to put up with his BA, but not Roto. Trade Dunn for Rios now while his avg is .311 and not .240. Also, since you keep 6, I'd rather have Bruce because you'll likely be entertaining the thought of keeping him next year.

Anyone else? Im thinking going Dunn for Rios... but he may want 2-2 which means I will have to go Bruce and Dunn.... for Rios and Martin.... I just think that kils my power numbers.....
