Hanely or Reyes?

Postby bcbhockey68 » Tue Apr 28, 2009 1:53 pm

I need speed pretty bad and normally this wouldn't be a choice, but with Hanely's lattest injury do you think I could get him on the cheap for my david wright straight up or should I just throw that to the wind and propose reyes for wright straight up?

Keep Wright, you can get steals much cheaper than giving up your best player.

If it's speed you need most, Reyes is the better option. Han-Ram has bulked up and is hitting 3rd. He'll still swipe bases, because he's just an amazing athlete, but Reyes will get many, many more opportunities.

What is your take on my team, do I need speed or should I stick with Wright? I really do think Wright's numbers will take a hit in the new stadium while Reyes's will get better because it is designed for hitters like him, am I right for thinking this way?

And who would you play at 3rd? Felipe Lopez?? Stupid in my opinion. Trade one of your firstbaseman AGon or Morneau with a SP to upgrade SS. Also you didnt say what type of league your in.

if you need speed why not go after one of the many crappy speed only outfielders? will come much cheaper than hanley or reyes

Because most of those guys are already gone and the ones that are out there come at a price like getting 40 RBIs all season or a season AVG of .230, there is a reason those guys are out there. I cant afford to have two players under the .250 mark and Davis is staying.
