Would one of these deals help me? WHIR

Postby coma » Tue Apr 28, 2009 12:37 pm

I am trying to do a trade in which I give up more players (including Valverde) to get an upgrade at a position and use the extra spot to grab F. Fransisco. After doing some looking I came up with two possible trades. Would one of these trades help me more? Would they get vetoed?

Trade A:
I give: Aram, Furcal (he needs SS), and Valverde
I get: A-Rod, and a throw in (Stephen Drew since he is injured? Or someone I would probably drop for Mike Lowell/Chris Davis)
I may be giving up a lot, but A-Rod would be nice.. Aram is incredibly consistent on the other hand.

Trade B:
I give: Morneau and Valverde
I get: Teixiera (team name is Yankees Suck)
This probably has a greater chance of getting accepted..

I'd make the 2nd deal. I like Tex slightly more than Morneau and you can pick up
Fransisco to replace Valverde.

I think both trades would get approved. As an AROD owner I am praying he comes back and rakes but there are zero guarentees he is the same player.

Valverde is on a bad team this year and Saves may be tough to come by. Drew if heathly is in the same ballpark as furcal in my opinion. I am not a huge Tex fan so I would take trade A.

Both trades look good for you, I don't think either would get vetoed. I like trade A, furcal is just rotting on your bench..and Aramis is very consistent, but is prone to injury, although he usually only misses 20 games or so.

I'd go the ARod route as well...and Lowell and Davis should not be available for pickup! I think both will have great years.

I like trade A better. A-Rod is better then A-Ram and Drew is fair for Furcal and Valverde makes up the difference.
you can't live the dream, if you don't play the game
